Adalah sunah untuk menyembelih dua kambing untuk akikah anak laki-laki dan satu kambing untuk anak perempuan di hari ketujuh setelah kelahiran si jabang bayi. Inilah yang disebut akikah, sebagaimana didasarkan pada ucapan dan tindakan Nabi Muhammad ﷺ. Tidak ada pesta makan tertentu yang diajarkan di dalam syariat untuk acara sunatan walimatul khitan. Jika sunatan walimatul khitan terjadi bertepatan dengan hari akikah si anak, sedang di sana ada pesta makan dengan niat untuk akikah, bukan sekedar untuk sunatan, maka hal itu boleh. Hal yang sebaliknya pesta makan hanya untuk sunatan atau walimatul akikah adalah tidak boleh, sebagaimana diriwayatkan di dalam Musnad Ahmad, bahwa Utsman bin Abi Al-Ash pernah diundang untuk menghadiri acara sunatan. Maka, Utsman bin Abi Al-Ash menolaknya dan berkata إِنَّا كُنَّا لَا نَأْتِي الْخِتَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا نُدْعَى لَهُ “Sesungguhnya pada masa Rasulullah ﷺ, kami tidak pernah mendatangi acara khitanan dan juga tidak pernah diundang untuk acara itu,” HR Ahmad 17557 Wallahu’alam bish shawwab. Banyuwangi - Pesta khitan 3 kucing di Banyuwangi digelar dengan meriah. Pesta ini ditaksir menelan biaya hingga puluhan juta rupiah. Pasangan ini sengaja menggelar hajatan untuk pesta khitan tiga ekor kucing peliharaan mereka. Tiga ekor kucing yang masih bayi tersebut terlantar di depan rumah mereka. Meski merupakan kucing pungut, Indrawati mengaku sangat menyayangi kucing-kucing menjelaskan, satu dari tiga kucingnya telah dikebiri terlebih dulu. Sementara dua kucing lainnya dikebiri berdekatan dengan acara selamatan."Kucingnya dikebiri di rumah sakit," kata ibu satu anak kebiri dua kucing itu berlangsung pada Minggu 28/5/2023.
